With massive panels scheduled for both Thursday and Saturday, Marvel Studios seems ready to hype up its latest film as well as potentially share more details about the next handful of projects it has been cooking up to keep viewers plugged into the MCU.

While Warner Bros. has a bunch of DC films in the pipeline, the studio won’t be matching Marvel’s energy at this year’s SDCC in terms of panels, but it’s very likely that it will make a few surprise announcements to tide fans over. We can also expect to hear more news about shows like AMC’s Interview With the Vampire, Apple’s Silo, and Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. And in a summer that’s already been defined by cinema with exquisitely creepy vibes, the Alien: Romulus panel is likely to give con-goers even more of a reason to get excited.

Until the event’s through, we won’t know just how strong a showcase it will ultimately be, but until then, you can keep checking in here as we cover all of the biggest updates.

The Boys’ fourth season ended on a nightmarish note that made the show’s upcoming final chapter seem like it’s going to its most deranged. But during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon revealed that while The Boys may be coming to an end, the larger franchise is about to get even bigger with a prequel series set in the distant past.
Though The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke was tightlipped about the show’s series finale, he was all too excited to bring actor Jensen Ackles on stage during a panel to announce the forthcoming arrival of Vought Rising, a new prequel series. Set in the ‘50s, Vought Rising will chronicle the lives of Soldier Boy (Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash) — two of Vought’s earliest and most powerful superhumans.

Invincible Fight Girl said “square up!”
With shows like My Adventures with Superman and Rick and Morty: The Anime, Adult Swim has been pretty covered on the superhero and sci-fi fronts. But the programming block is about to get more sporty with Juston Gordon-Montgomery’s Invincible Fight Girl — a new wrestling / action series that looks sick as hell in this preview clip.
Netflix’s Bioshock movie is still coming, albeit with a smaller scope and budget.
Netflix has been so quiet about its Bioshock film adaptation that it almost seemed as if the project might have been put on the back burner. But during a panel at this year’s SDCC, producer Roy Lee assured fans that, while Netflix has “reconfigured” the movie to be smaller and more personal, it’s still very much in the works.
No one rivals Doom…except another Doom.
San Diego Comic Con is in full swing starting off strong with new trailers from Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and now Marvel Rivals. The new cinematic trailer lays out the stakes for the game with multiple Dr. Dooms from different timelines summoning teams of Marvel heroes from across the Multiverse. Their job: fight in order to determine which Doom is the doomiest of them all.
It looks like Peacock is getting a solid dose of horror very soon. At San Diego Comic-Con, the streamer showed off a very brief teaser for its upcoming thriller series Teacup, while also confirming that it will start streaming in October.
According to Peacock, the show “follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.” It’s helmed by showrunner Ian McCulloch — best known as a producer on the Western hit Yellowstone — and based on the novel Stinger by Robert McCammon. Steve Buscemi is Starscream in Transformers One’s new trailer.
Though the new Transformers One trailer doesn’t feature nearly enough of Steve Buscemi’s Starscream, it does reveal quite a bit of the film’s general story — which might be a feature rather than a bug if you were on the fence about catching it in theaters on September 20th.
Pokémon Horizons is ready to level up.
Ahead of a new batch of Pokémon Horizons episodes debuting on August 9th, Netflix has dropped a new trailer for San Diego Comic-Con teasing just how much more intense the series’ battles are about to get.

Lego has announced its latest collaboration with Nintendo at San Diego Comic-Con: a pixelated recreation of Mario and Yoshi from the 16-bit Super Nintendo classic, Super Mario World. Like Lego’s Art sets, it’s a 2D creation meant for display but also includes hidden moving mechanisms, bringing Yoshi to life.
The 1,215-piece set stands over 15 inches tall when assembled and features a yellow-caped Mario riding Yoshi atop a grass-covered hill. The front of the set is assembled from Lego tiles and looks to be a very accurate recreation of the 16-bit sprites used in Super Mario World.
