The Fantastic Four/The MCU
According to the latest instalment of the InSneider newsletter (via Comic Book), Robert Downey, Jr. may return to the MCU has an alternate version of Tony Stark who becomes Dr. Doom.
Speaking of Doctor Doom, there’s still no word yet about his casting in Fantastic Four, as insiders denied my inquiry about Robert Downey Jr., who I was told might come back as an alternate-universe Tony Stark who becomes Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man. It seems far-fetched, yes, but I figured that if there was any hope of Downey coming back, there’d have to be a new wrinkle for him to play. So, for now, we continue to wait…
Queens of the Dead
Deadline reports Katy O’Brian, Margaret Cho, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Cheyenne Jackson, Nina West, Jaquel Spivey, Tomas Matos , Quincy Dunn-Baker, Becca Blackwell, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Dominique Jackson, Riki Lindhome and Eve Lindley will star in Queens of the Dead, a zombie movie from George Romero’s daughter, Tina Romero. The story will follow “an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies who must put aside their personal dramas and use their unique skills to combat the brain-thirsty undead when a zombie apocalypse breaks out during their drag show in Brooklyn.”
Backdraft
According to Empire, a remake of Backdraft is now in development with (you guessed it…) Glen Powell attached to star.
Nightbitch

The Terror: Devil in Silver
According to Deadline, Dan Stevens will star in the third season of The Terror. Written by Chris Cantwell and author Victor LaValle, on (whose novel the season is based) The Terror: Devil in Silver concerns Pepper (Stevens), “a working-class moving man who, through a combination of bad luck and a bad temper, finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital – an institution filled with the people society would rather forget. There, he must contend with patients who work against him, doctors who harbor grim secrets, and perhaps even the very Devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face down the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde’s walls – but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.”
Halo
Paramount+ has canceled Halo after two seasons, but the show will now try to find a new home at another streamer. [TV Line]
Fallout
Fallout co-showrunner Vernon Sanders stated the series is “ahead of schedule” season two in a new interview with Variety.
We’ve been fortunate because this was the vision all along. I think we’re ahead of schedule, in terms of being able to get Season 2 back. We don’t have an exact launch date yet, but we’ve already gotten scripts in hand, and I think the fans of Season 1 will really love where we’re going for Season 2.
