Arcadia Valley Career Technology Center Celebrates 50th Anniversary

(IRONTON)  The Arcadia Valley Career Technology Center celebrated it’s 50th anniversary on Wednesday. The center offers eight career and technical education programs for students from several area schools. An open house was held for community members of the sending school districts. Steve Pursley is the director of the center. He tells us about the programs offered at Arcadia Valley.

Pursley says students are able to participate in some career-based organizations.

Students from the FBLA and SkillsUSA chapters led tours of the Arcadia Valley Career Technology Center for community members as well as elementary school students throughout the day Wednesday. The center first opened in 1974.
